Your School, Your Voice

OSU Student Government Association's mission is to serve the students at Oklahoma State University making YOUR voice heard by providing student involvement opportunities, fostering a sense of belonging, and encouraging career readiness within our campus community.


About Us

SGA includes three branches that help to uphold the SGA Constitution

Student Senate

Includes the legislative body which is made up of fifty senators, has the power to draft and act upon the legislation of its committees and members, address student concerns, amend Bylaws, financially aid student organizations, and confirm or reject Presidential appointments.

Executive Cabinet

Led by the Student Body President and Student Body Vice President during their one year terms. These student leaders are responsible for communication between the student body and faculty, and university administration. The Cabinet members oversee the various programming of SGA to support our students.

Judicial Branch

Considered to be the Student Supreme Court, the Judicial branch is made up of one Chief Justice and six Associate Justices. The Court oversees all cases arising under the Constitution and laws of SGA.

Committed to the growth of emerging leaders, enriching each student's experience, and cultivating an inclusive environment through our programs.

Cowboy Cousins

Cowboy Cousins is an excellent opportunity to enrich your college experience by creating friendships with fellow Cowboys and Cowgirls through cultural exchange.

Student STACHE Network

The Student STACHE Network is a student-run initiative that aims to reduce food insecurity and meet the basic needs of our campus through donations by various on and off-campus partners.

CowboyThon

CowboyThon is the largest on-campus philanthropic organization at Oklahoma State, aimed to gain awareness and financial support for the Oklahoma Children's Health Foundation.

First Year Representative Council

The First Year Representative Council gains experience in all aspects of student government, facilitates community service projects, and develops student-focused activities.

O.I.L.

Oklahoma Intercollegiate Legislature (O.I.L) is a mock legislature that advocates for political activism in Oklahoma.

Speaker's Board

Speaker's Board dedicates itself to bringing incredible speakers to the OSU community every year.

Sustainability Committee

The SGA Sustainability Committee strives to promote good stewardship of resources, serve as ambassadors for sustainable practices, and make a difference on our campus.

The Rowdy, Paddle People & Orange Outlaws

This group is a collection of student organizations focused on various athletic programs to support student-athletes and cheer on our Cowboy Family.

SGA Elections

Make your voice heard during the SGA elections that are held twice a year open to the whole OSU community.

Need legal advice?

The Student Government Association provides free legal services to faculty, staff, and students during the fall and spring semesters. Should you need to contact the attorney, please email sga@okstate.edu with 'Attorney' in the subject line, and we will forward those directly to the attorney.
