What is Camp Cowboy?
Our Mission
Camp Cowboy engages new OSU students with their peers and with upperclassmen peer mentors to provide an experience of fun, friendship, tradition and orientation that will in-turn create more meaningful and impactful collegiate experiences at OSU. By attending Camp Cowboy, new students:
- Learn elements of University resources, history, traditions, and expectations at the core of the Cowboy Family.
- Cultivate relationships with peers to build a sense of belonging at OSU.
- Expand their understanding of who they are and the roles they fulfill within our Cowboy Family and throughout the global community.
- Invest in the greater community and serve something bigger than themselves.
- Enhance their cultural competence through personal experiences of fellowship and mentorship with different members of their chosen Cowboy Family.
