Student Leadership
The Camp Cowboy experience is coordinated by students for students. Four student directors and a team of coordinating council leaders work together to plan activities to help new OSU students learn what means to be a Cowboy and grow their sense of orange pride, while making new friends before classes begin.
Meet the 2026 Student Directors
- Kaitlyn Delaney, Student Director of Programming
Year & Major: Sophomore, Psychology
Hometown: Colleyville, TX
Kaitlyn's Thoughts about Camp: "Camp Cowboy helps students acclimate, eases anxiety and allows campers to connect to their new home. I came into OSU knowing absolutely nothing about campus and was petrified. Because of this, I feel strongly about camp's mission, and I want ease others' anxiety about coming to college. Camp Cowboy has influenced my college experience in the best way possible. I want to share my love of OSU and help them find the home that I've found."
- Kamila Gorritti, Student Director of Logistics
Year & Major: Sophomore, Cell and Molecular Biology: Medical Laboratory Science
Hometown: Stillwater, OK
Kamila's Thoughts about Camp: "I thought that Camp Cowboy would only teach students OSU traditions and spirit, but I soon realized that it was more than that. Camp Cowboy helps you grow out of your comfort zone and make new friends and relationships. The camp staff is so welcoming and friendly. It was easy to be myself. That's what I want for campers - to make lasting friendships with each other and be able to trust and rely on us when they need us for guidance or support."
- Makenna Larsen, Student Director of Marketing and Communications
Year & Major: Sophomore, Landscape Architecture
Hometown: Edmond, OK
Makenna's Thoughts about Camp: "Thanks to Camp Cowboy, I made friends who helped me through my first year and supported me through my ambitious efforts to also join a sorority and the OSU Cowboy Marching Band. I love Camp Cowboy so much and look forward to finding more people who love this program, so it can remain the best first-year program on the OSU Campus."
- Cam Luedke, Student Director of Internal and External Engagement
Year & Major: Sophomore, Recreation and Athletic Management
Hometown: Yukon, OK
Cam's Thoughts about Camp: "Camp Cowboy is about helping new students make friends before classes start and learn what it means to be part of the Cowboy family. It's the first time for some students to be away from their home or even their state, and coming to camp shows them what it's like to be on their own for a couple of days. I attended camp when I was a freshman and had such an amazing time. I look forward to creating the same impact on new students this coming summer."
