Summer Resources
Considering staying in Stillwater over the summer? Away from campus this summer, but still need to know what's available to you? Here are resources that may be of benefit to you as you enter the summer months:.
For OSU-Stillwater students who will be:
- Enrolled in summer session coursework
- Working on campus, but not enrolled in summer classes
- Living in Stillwater, but not taking classes or working on campus in the summer
- Away from campus, but may need access to campus resources
Summer Session Coursework Resources
Summer courses provide opportunities to complete coursework toward your degree and increase your GPA. To help you prepare for and succeed in your summer courses, consider taking these steps:
- Contact your academic advisor to ensure that your summer courses meet degree requirements. They can also answer any questions you have about enrolling in summer courses.
- Review the Academic Calendar to see dates and deadlines related to summer courses.
- Make use of Academic Support Services, including:
- Tutoring through The LASSO Center, OSU Writing Center, and the Math Learning Success Center.
- Exploring College-specific academic support services in College of Arts & Sciences, CEAT, College of Education & Human Sciences, Ferguson College of Agriculture, and Spears School of Business
- Tutoring through The LASSO Center, OSU Writing Center, and the Math Learning Success Center.
Living On-Campus
Students who are enrolled in at least one summer class can live in the Villages during
summer sessions. To find summer housing rate information, go here.
If you’re interested in registering for summer housing, the Summer Housing Portal opens April 15 and closes in mid-July.

Financial Aid
General Cost & Aid: You may have to complete a specific number of hours and attain a specific GPA each academic year to retain the scholarship. If you are unsure of the requirements, review your scholarship award information and acceptance form or contact the department or agency who granted you the award.
Summer Financial Aid Information: Summer eligibility is determined using the results of the current-year FAFSA and your summer enrollment plans. If your enrollment requires more than four weeks of attendance, you may contact Scholarships & Financial Aid to discuss additional opportunities, if any, for funding.
Undergraduates must enroll in at least six summer hours* to be considered for Federal Direct Subsidized and/or Unsubsidized loans or for their parent to borrow through the Parent (PLUS) Loan. Undergraduates enrolled in less than six hours* may qualify for Pell Grant or Oklahoma's Promise (or TEACH, if the student otherwise qualifies for TEACH).
Financial Planning Coaches are available all summer for both continuing students and incoming students.

Mental Health and Student Support Resources
Whether on-campus or away from campus, mental health resources are available to continuing OSU students over the summer months.
University Counseling Services has clinical and psychiatric support services available to continuing OSU students (either taking summer courses or enrolled the fall semester).
If you are a continuing student and will be on-campus, you can visit the UCS office and complete a screening to get scheduled with a clinician.
If you are a continuing student and will be off-campus, but still in the state of Oklahoma, you can contact UCS to request services with one of their clinicians through telehealth appointments.
If you will be outside the state of Oklahoma and would like to access clinical services virtually, you can contact UCS about getting set up with BetterHelp. Students need a referral from UCS in order to access services through BetterHelp. You can complete a screening prior to leaving campus for the summer or call UCS to get a referral if you’re already out-of-state.
Case Management is available through Student Support and offers students a case manager dedicated to your personal growth and helping you navigate unexpected challenges related to your academic, mental, physical, and social well-being. You can schedule a Student Support meeting or submit a Care Report to get connected to a case manager. You can also submit a Care Report if you have a concern about another OSU student’s well-being.
