Into the Streets will take place on Saturday, November 7 2026, please utilize the link below to request a volunteer team. Registration for a jobsite will open Monday, August 17th at 8:00am and the deadline to request a jobsite is Friday, October 16th at 5:00pm.
FAQs
- What do volunteers with Into the Streets do?Groups of volunteers go to individual resident's houses for four hours on the day of Into the Streets. Usually residents request, but is not limited to, raking leaves, weeding or planting flowers, trenching, mulching, trimming trees and/or hedges, cleaning gutters, painting, stripping paint, dusting, sweeping and/or mopping, window washing, and general spring cleaning. For liability reasons, our volunteers are not able to use any power tools or ladders over 6ft. If you have any questions, please email us at intothestreets@okstate.edu.
- Who can request our help?We serve residents, churches, and non-profits, regardless of their socioeconomic status. We are currently not serving Homeowner's Associations.
- What if there is inclement weather?In case of rain or inclement weather on the day of Into the Streets, there will not be a rescheduled date, and volunteers are not required to complete their jobs at a later date.
