Sexual Assault Awareness Student Art Exhibition

The Sexual Assault Awareness Month Student Art Exhibition is a collaboration between 1 is 2 Many and the Orange Wall Art Gallery. This exhibition will be showcased April 2025 at the Orange Wall Art Gallery, in the basement of the Student Union.

This gallery seeks to amplify voices, foster support, and promote healing through creative expression. Artists are encouraged to submit works that respond to or interpret the theme, offering insights into the collective and individual journeys of survivors and allies.

Exhibition Information

This exhibition follows three main theme topics: Support, Act, & Heal. Please be mindful of the gallery's sensitive nature. Submissions should focus on raising awareness, fostering connection, and promoting healing, offering space for both personal expression and broader social impact.

  • Submission Guidelines & Information

All submissions will be reviewed by Orange Wall Art Gallery Student Liaison as well as the 1 is 2 Many Prevention Ambassadors. Please ensure that all submissions relate to at least one of the three theme topics. After artwork is reviewed and selected, students will be contacted by email to schedule time to drop off their artwork.

  • Theme Information
Support: Art that represents the importance of community, connection, and support systems—whether they be family, friends, organizations, or self-discovered strength. Pieces in this category may explore themes of solidarity, compassion, and understanding. Artists may choose to share experiences of supporting others through traumatic experiences or the impact of a supporter on their healing journey.

Act: Artwork that calls for active involvement, empowerment, and advocacy. Artists can think about ways they encourage others to be called to action, ways that someone's actions have helped them (bystander intervention), or how they advocate for other survivors.

Heal: Expressions of healing and resilience. We welcome art that reflects the personal paths to recovery, reclamation, and peace. Artists may share their own story of healing, wherever in their journey they are.
  • Resources
If you are in need of support or additional resources, please contact 1 is 2 Many, or reach out to a confidential OSU Victim Advocate at 405-564-2129.
  • What Were You Wearing? Exhibit

In addition, 1 is 2 Many will be hosting their annual What Were You Wearing? exhibit throughout the month of April. This is a separate display that showcases outfits that survivors were wearing at the time of their victimization, along with a sentence or two about their story (names will be kept anonymous). If you would like to share your story and outfit to be included in the display, please fill out the form below.
