Veteran Appreciation Week

Campus Flag Display

One of the most impactful pieces of this week's events is the Flag Display, which takes over Library Lawn for the entire week. This display features over 7,700 flags and 7,100 dog-tags. Each tag represents a Service Member who was killed in combat since Sept 11th, 2001.

  • When: Monday, Nov. 10 - Sunday, Nov. 16

Veteran Appreciation Dinner

Join us for a special evening dedicated to celebrating our OSU veteran community. All student, faculty and staff veterans are welcome to dine with us and connect with the local military community.

  • When: Monday, Nov. 10 at 6:00 p.m.
  • Where: Starlight Terrace (Student Union 465)
  • Attire: Business casual

Breakfast with the Brave

We are proud to provide a free breakfast for the OSU military community, including students, staff and faculty who are veterans. 

  • When: Tuesday, Nov. 11, 8:30-10 a.m.
  • Where: Cowboy Underground (Student Union Basement)
  • Attire: Casual

An Afternoon with Garret Biss

On Wednesday, Nov. 12, we will welcome Garret Biss for an afternoon of impactful sessions. Garret will welcome student veterans to discuss transitioning from military life to civilian life, then offer a professional development* session on how OSU staff and faculty can best support our military-affiliated students.

Orange Wall Exhibit

Later in November, The Student Union Orange Wall Art Gallery will feature an exhibit consisting of your submissions! Interested students can submit any piece of art they choose, such as a painting, photograph, poem, song lyrics, etc.
