Veteran Appreciation Week

Join us for Veterans Appreciation Week as we honor and celebrate the brave individuals who have served our country. From November 4-15, the Oklahoma State University community will come together for a series of meaningful events recognizing the sacrifices and contributions of our military-affiliated students, faculty, staff, alumni, families, and community members.

Whether you can participate in an event, volunteer for a few hours, or simply visit the display on Library Lawn, your involvement helps make this week impactful and memorable. We hope you will join us in expressing gratitude to those who have served.

Campus Flag Display

One of the most impactful pieces of this week's events is the Flag Display, which takes over Library Lawn for the entire week. This display features over 7,100 flags and dog-tags. Each tag represents a Service Member who was killed in combat since Sept 11th, 2001.

  • When: Monday, Nov. 9 - Sunday, Nov. 15
  • Where: Library Lawn
  • More Information: Learn more about the purpose of the display and how to locate a particular service member's ID tags here.
  • Get Involved: We would be honored to have your help placing and removing the flags and dog tags.

Veteran Suicide Awareness March

Join us for the Veteran Suicide Awareness March, a community walk dedicated to honoring those we’ve lost and supporting those still fighting their battles. Every step reminds our veterans that no one needs to walk alone.

  • When: Monday, Nov. 9 at  11:00 a.m.
  • Where: Library Lawn North
  • More Information: After the march, join us for lunch served  at 061 Student Union, the Military-Affiliated Support Office.

Veteran Appreciation Dinner

Join us for a special evening dedicated to celebrating our OSU veteran community. All students, faculty and staff are welcome to dine with us and connect with the local military community.

  • When: Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 6:00 p.m.
  • Where: Starlight Terrace (Student Union 465)
  • Attire: Business casual
