The History of Spring Sing

Spring Sing began at OSU in 1966. Formally, Coaches v. Cancer, now Cowboys v. Cancer, that benefits the Eddie Sutton Foundation became the beneficiary in 2005. Since 2022, more than $185,000 has been donated.

The theme of the 2026 Spring Sing show was Ladies of the ’80s, with each cast incorporating a song performed by a prominent female artist from that decade. The Eddie Sutton Foundation remained the event’s philanthropic partner and beneficiary. Through the generosity of our participants, supporters, and community, Spring Sing raised a record breaking $45,000 to support the organization’s mission. The live show can be viewed here.

2025
Spring Sings 2025 theme was "Hooked on a Hit". The casts performed in the Seretean Performing Arts Center and put on a great weekend of shows. The casts raised $30,000 for the Eddie Sutton Foundation. The live show can be viewed here.

2024
After being postponed due to a tornado warning the in Stillwater area, Spring Sing 2024 was the first show to be held on a Sunday. Even with a major setback, the casts performed incredible shows, all of which included a song featured in the Pitch Perfect franchise. Continuing with our philanthropic partner of Cowboys vs. Cancer through the Eddie Sutton Foundation, the show community raised a record-breaking $42,000 for the philanthropy. After a two-year hiatus, Spring Sing is finally back to rumbling the rafters of historic Gallagher-Iba Arena. The theme of this year’s show was Queen, so every cast had to use a song from the legendary band’s catalogue.
