Campus Life

Coordinator of Military-Affiliated Student Support

Supporting military-affiliated students—whether they are veterans, active-duty service members, reservists, guardsmen, dependents, or families—requires a thoughtful, inclusive, and well-resourced approach to transition successfully into the higher education setting.

The Coordinator will develop and implement transition programs for military-affiliated students, focusing on their successful acclimation to university life and retention. Responsibilities include creating learning outcomes, organizing workshops, and collaborating with campus partners to provide holistic support. The Coordinator is responsible for the operations and student experience offered in the Military-Affiliated Student Support Office. The role also involves recruiting, developing, and supervising student employees. In addition to transition programming, the coordinator will develop and implement a strategic plan for retaining and supporting students with a military affiliation prior to and post-transition to the university.

The coordinator is part of a team supporting students with various backgrounds and life experiences. Military-Affiliated Student Support is part of the Student Support team in Campus Life within the Division of Student Affairs at Oklahoma State University.
