From Ticket to Table: An SGA Food Insecurity Initiative
SGA and Parking Services teamed up to raise money and awareness for food insecurity within the Cowboy family. Students may donate a reduced amount (less than their ticket) to the Food Insecurity Fund in exchange for one eligible parking ticket being waived — a quick way to give back and support fellow OSU students.
About the Program
From Ticket to Table lets students turn an eligible parking ticket into an opportunity to fight food insecurity by donating to the Food Insecurity Fund, helping provide meals for fellow Cowboys. Find out if you are eligible for the program, and give back to a good cause!
Eligibility Requirements
- Open to currently enrolled OSU students, OSU faculty, and staff who have received a parking ticket for $40 or less.
- Students must donate 80% of their ticket amount to the Food Insecurity Fund through the OSU Foundation to have the ticket waived.
- Program can be used up to one time per academic year.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Check Eligibility
- Make sure you are currently enrolled at OSU.
- Confirm that you have a parking ticket.
- Determine Your Donation Amount
- Refer to the Donation Chart (80% of your ticket value, up to $40 tickets).
- Example: If your ticket is $25, your donation should be $20.
- Make Your Donation
- Donate the required amount to the Food Insecurity Fund.
- Keep your receipt as proof of donation.
- Submit Your Ticket and Receipt
- Go to the Slate page (link below).
- Upload your ticket information and proof of donation.
- Confirmation
- You will receive an email confirming that your ticket has been waived.
- If your submission is incomplete or incorrect, you will be notified.
- Repeat (If Needed)
- You may use this program up to one time per academic year.
