Service Member Remembrance Display
Purpose:
Each year, OSU sets up this Flag Display as a part of our Veteran Appreciation Week events. This display features approximately 7,700 flags and 7,100 dog-tags. Each tag represents a Service Member who was killed in combat since Sept 11th, 2001.
Placement Guide
Each row of flags contains approximately 65 dog tags, and they are roughly in alphabetical order by the service member's last name. This webpage will serve as a guide to locating a particular tag. While we have done our best to alphabetize each tag and keep that order consistent throughout the display, we apologize for any inconsistencies or confusion.
If you find that a specific tag you are looking for is missing, or a located tag has missing or incorrect information, please contact us directly so we can correct this mistake and replace the tag. If you would like to request assistance in locating a tag, you may also call the office.
